"This exercise started in 2007 with the participation of only 28 nations. Today, in 2025, 60 nations are participating in this exercise which is a testimony that this exercise with every passing year, it is solving its purpose. It is giving a message, it is the confidence of international community that this exercise is a meaningful platform – it’s not just only verbal talk. Thirteen ships from 11 nations are coming. That is the real demonstration that people are coming and joining with us."

Building empathy and understanding of each other really is the way to build consensus and understanding, and make sure we move forward in a positive way."

"Bands from different military services of Pakistan, they displayed their skills. And the other thing was that the Sri Lankan Navy band – it also took part. With respect to the second part… The second part was maritime counter-terrorism demonstration in which Pakistan Navy SSG (Special Service Group soldiers), commonly known as SEALS, exhibited their skills through land, through air and through surface."

STORYLINE:
Navy commandos from Pakistan and other countries simulated an anti-piracy operation on a beach in Karachi on Monday as part of a multinational maritime security exercise hosted by Pakistan.
The "Aman" or peace exercise features the naval forces of 60 countries this year including France, Germany and the United States.
Thirteen ships from 11 nations participated in the anti-piracy exercise including China, Indonesia, Japan, the United States and Iran.
