"Yeah, there’s a Japanese adage which is like, fall down seven times, rise eight. Right. It’s this resilience factor and it’s not easy. But for me, it’s the only way I know how to be. When you’re in this industry as a marginalized individual, you have to know how to fight for what you want and the stories you want to tell. And so while it wasn’t the outcome that I wanted for the show, I’m hopeful that it’ll find a new home. And if it doesn’t, I still have stories that I’m going to tell. Like this doesn’t mean that I’m done or sitting down at all. I’m continuing to write. I have a lot of other projects going on, and so I’m excited for what’s next."
