VA provides Veterans of all abilities with opportunities to explore new sports, from Alpine and Nordic skiing to scuba diving. This includes opportunities like the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic. The clinic provides "miracles on a mountainside" for Veterans with different disabilities who realize they can push past their perceived limitations through adaptive sports.
Army Veteran John Wade is an amputee who credits the adaptive sports clinic for helping him live his life to the fullest. Through the VA, he not only receives cutting-edge prosthetics for his leg, he also participates in sport programs that inspire him and other Veterans to keep pushing the limits of what they can do.
