For nearly four years, Malphine Fogel has been lobbying to have her teacher son freed from behind bars in Russia. Her son was arrested in 2021 after he was found to possess medical marijuana in his suitcase. He was sentenced to 14 years. Marc Fogel is now back on American soil after President Trump’s special envoy brought him home. He met the president with the United States flag draped over his shoulders. As they faced the cameras, Trump spoke about Fogel’s feisty 95-year-old mom.
