AI summit: USA sharply criticizes EU and refuses to sign | DW News

France’s president, Emmanuel Macron, has insisted there must be global rules for artificial intelligence. His comments came after US Vice President JD Vance told a Paris summit on AI that over-regulation threatened to strangle the nascent industry. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who also attended the summit, warned that the power of AI comes with enormous responsibility – and that it is currently concentrated in the hands of a few.
