STORYLINE:
The brightest stars and creatives in the music industry are about to walk the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Sunday for the 67th annual Grammy Awards.
Here’s a look at the carpet as stars start to arrive.
Beyonce topped the list of most nominated artists with songs from her country album “Cowboy Carter” garnering 11 nominations. Super Bowl half-time show headliner Kendrick Lamar had seven nominations, tying with Charlie xcx, Billie Eilish, and Post Malone. Taylor Swift had six nominations – tying her with “best new artist” contenders Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
Comedian Trevor Noah is hosting the Grammys for the fifth time and performers include Eilish, Roan, Carpenter, Chris Martin, John Legend, Charlie xcx, Benson Boone, Shakira and Doechii. A star-studded musical tribute to iconic producer Quincy Jones who died last year is also expected.
The Grammys will broadcast live on CBS and stream on Paramount+. The Recording Academy announced that the telecast would aim to raise money to support Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts and honor first responders as part of the show.
