"Whenever possible we follow events, news, a map of combat operations and the advance of the enemy every day. It cannot be said that they are not attacking, they are advancing on all areas of the front and their activity is frantic. Our soldiers bravely encourage (engage) them at the cost of their own health and lives. Of course, the activity is crazy, the Avdiivka direction is one of the hottest directions of the front, so there is always a lot of work here."

"This is important for each of us. We must work for victory, for the salvation of our soldiers, heroes. Everyone who enters here, who is brought here, they are all heroes. They endure this, explosions every day, injuries. Some fighters return immediately after recovery to the unit, to continue to carry out their combat tasks. This is our duty. If we do not help each other, there will be no result."

"A drone found us, a drone with a reset found us. A second drone immediately flew in, saw our positions and immediately the mortar started working a couple of meters away, maybe five meters. Then I remember how I ran back, my eyes darkened and that’s it."

STORYLINE:
As the fighting continues on the frontline in Ukraine, Ukrainian military medics were working tirelessly to provide essential medical assistance to wounded Ukrainian soldiers on Friday.
Medics from the 47th Brigade treated soldiers in a field hospital as Russia advanced in the direction of Avdiivka.
"Avdiivka direction is one of the hottest directions of the front, so there is always a lot of work here," said a military doctor who goes by the call sign ‘Viter’ for security reasons.
Reporters from The Associated Press spent a day with the medics to get an understanding of the life they were leading.
"Whenever possible we follow events, news, a map of combat operations and the advance of the enemy every day," ‘Viter’ continued.
"We must work for victory, for the salvation of our soldiers, heroes. Everyone who enters here, who is brought here, they are all heroes," he added.
