Donald Trump confirms one month ‘pause’ in Mexico tariffs | BBC News

US President Donald Trump has confirmed he is delaying tariffs on imports from Mexico for a month.

It comes after Mexico agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border to stem the flow of illegal drugs.

Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum said the agreement also includes a commitment from the US to take steps to limit the flow of guns south.

Trump had previously said a 25% import tax on goods from Mexico would begin on Tuesday, along with tariffs on goods from Canada and China.
