An American Airlines regional jet collided with a military helicopter near Washington on Wednesday leaving no survivors. American Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas, hit a Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk helicopter while approaching the runway just before 9 p.m. local time and crashed into the Potomac River close to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
