STORYLINE:
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Social Democrats on Friday night held the first of four election rallies.
Scholz and party leaders attended the event at the Wolfsburg congress hall, near the headquarters of troubled German carmaker Volkswagen.
Scholz was again disturbed by protesters of Israel’s actions in Gaza during his speech.
Scholz touched on the war in Ukraine, US President-elect Trump and his comments on Greenland.
