VA National Telestroke Program Video shows acute stroke management of a walk-in stroke patient from presentation to disposition. Many Veterans present directly to their local VA facilities with acute stroke symptoms instead of calling 911. The processes displayed save time in care of acute stroke patients care of a walk-in stroke patient. Reducing time to treatment is imperative. The teamwork between nurses, doctors, technicians and the virtual Telestroke Neurologist is critical for minimizing time to treatment so that our Veterans have the best chance of recovery.
