“I was just in a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu a few days ago, and he said that there is no guarantee they will continue from phase one to phase two. And that means maybe we’re going to stop after 33 hostages and then going back to fight the war in Gaza, while there are still 65 hostages who were left behind and thinking about their families, they’re also my family. That means my relatives are also left behind. That’s how I feel. And we can’t have that.”

“I believe all deals are bad in a way because we’re going to give things that we don’t want to give. But all deals are good in a way. If we’re going to get hostages back and right now, the deal that we’re having is the same deal that we had on the table in May. The only thing that’s changed is that some of the hostages were killed in captivity, just like my cousin. She was alive in May. She should have been part of this deal. She should have been one of the first to come home in this deal. But they didn’t sign it in time. She was murdered. And now we have the same deal only less hostages.”

STORYLINE:
Protesters blocked a main road in Tel Aviv on Thursday calling for an agreement to be signed for the release of all remaining hostages held in Gaza.
Gil Dickmann, a relative of one of the hostages killed in captivity, says he believes a deal is on the way, largely due to the stance of US President-elect Donald Trump, but he harbours fears that not all of the hostages will be freed.
“Maybe it’s going to take a few more days, but it’s going to happen mainly because President Trump said so. And that means it’s going to happen. What I worry about is the second and third phase of the deal,” said Dickmann, cousin of slain hostage Carmel Gat.
“I was just in a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu a few days ago, and he said that there is no guarantee they will continue from phase one to phase two," he said.
Dickmann said his cousin would have been saved if a deal was agreed sooner.
"She should have been one of the first to come home in this deal. But they didn’t sign it in time. She was murdered. And now we have the same deal only less hostages,” he said.
Netanyahu said Thursday that a "last-minute crisis" with Hamas was holding up Israeli approval of a long-awaited ceasefire that would pause the fighting in the Gaza Strip and release dozens of hostages.
