Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country retained the ‘right to return to fighting if needed’ in Gaza.
In comments made hours before a ceasefire was due to start between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Netanyahu said: "If we have to go back to fighting, we will do it in new ways and we will do it very powerfully.”
