1. 00:00 SOUNDBITE: (English) Enzo Maresca, Chelsea head coach (on Nicolas Jackson):
"He scored many goals at the beginning of the season. Now there are games that he’s not scoring, but we are completely happy with Nicolas. We don’t judge Nicolas just because of the goals. We judge Nicolas for different kind of things. And as I said already, I spoke with Nicolas a few days ago. Last year I think he scored 14, 15 goals in Premier League without penalties and (Erling) Haaland (takes) penalties, (Mo) Salah (takes) penalties, Cole Palmer (takes) penalties. If you score 14-15 goals in Premier League and you add four or five penalties then at the end it’s 20 goal striker."
2. 00:49 SOUNDBITE: (English) Enzo Maresca, Chelsea head coach (on Ben Chilwell not being part of the first team)
"First of all, because it’s my choice and the reason why I said probably because I can see Malo Gusto or Reece James or (Marc) Cucurella doing different kind of job during the game. And I think Chilwell is top fullback, probably doing that kind of job up and down and give him the opportunity in the past to win titles to be with the international team. But I struggle to see Ben doing different kind of things."
3. 01:27 SOUNDBITE: (English) Enzo Maresca, Chelsea head coach (on Bournemouth under Andoni Iraola):
"Bournemouth will be a completely different game. They are very good team with the same manager doing the same things from already a different season. They are very tough, very intense and the reason why they are doing well this season or last year is because they work very good."

STORYLINE:
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca defended his first-choice striker Nicolas Jackson with the forward having failed to find the net in his last four outings for the club.
The Senegal attacker last netted in his side’s 2-1 win at home to Brentford in the middle of December and since the goals have dried up Chelsea have drawn two and lost two matches to slip further behind in the race for the Premier League title.
The Stamford Bridge club face a tricky test at home to high-flying Bournemouth, knowing that a victory for the visitors could see them draw level with Chelsea on points in the table.
Maresca also confirmed that there is no chance of Ben Chilwell returning to the fold with the former club captain expected to depart the club in the January transfer window.
