Supplies of such gas can make the economy of these countries more competitive. These countries work in their interests. In other respects, of course, the beneficiary of this situation is the United States of America, which has significantly increased supplies of its liquefied natural gas at higher prices."

"Of course, it is simply impossible to be members of two different organizations, hypothetically speaking. There is one customs area here, one zone of free movement of goods, services, people, and capital, and there is another one there with different norms. That is, it depends on what the Armenian side emphasizes. Of course, this is a sovereign right. And we know for sure that membership in the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) is beneficial for Armenia."

STORYLINE:
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman said on Thursday that his country is monitoring developments after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump expressed his desire to acquire Greenland.
Dmitry Peskov said Russia is ready to cooperate "with all the countries to maintain peace and stability in the Arctic region," adding that Trump’s claims of buying Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, is an "issue of bilateral relations" between the U.S. and Denmark.
Peskov said Russia is also watching the exchange of statements between Trump and Panama over the U.S. President-elect’s statements about the Panama Canal.
Peskov also said that Armenia’s plan to join the European Union is impossible while it remains in the Russia-dominated Eurasian Economic Union.
