STORYLINE:
Dangerous storms crashed over parts of the South on Thursday even as the region cleaned up from earlier severe weather that spawned tornadoes, killed at least three people.
During the respite from the rains, residents in Columbia, Tennessee and volunteers went to work cleaning up and assessing the damage.
Officials said that a tornado damaged or destroyed more than 100 homes in Columbia.
Gov. Bill Lee says the woman who died in Maury County was in a mobile home at the time the storm hit, which was thrown several feet into a wooded area.
