STORYLINE:
As temperatures dip below freezing in Cincinnati, recreation centers such as Over the Rhine Recreation Center are extending their daytime hours for those who need a warm place and food.

Roughly 200 people have been seeking shelter amid an indoor roller rink. In one section of the rink a television tells those listening what to expect as frigid temperatures continue, in another section a man quietly plays the guitar and across the room the smell of pizza lingers.

After the daytime shelter closes, buses gather people to take them to the overnight shelter where they can stay out of the cold before returning to the recreation center to keep warm tomorrow.
