STORYLINE:
Berlin Seals’ brave swimmers welcomed the new year with the annual tradition of ice bathing.
Bathers swam and danced in the chilly water to kickstart 2025.
“The nice thing is that it’s fun, refreshing and it’s simply part of starting the New Year," said Harold Kraft, member of the Berlin Seals.
The water temperature this morning was at 6 Celsius (42.8 Fahrenheit) and the outside temperature was at 4 Celsius (39.2 Fahrenheit).
From Sydney to Mumbai to Paris to Rio de Janeiro, communities around the world welcomed 2025 with spectacular light shows, embraces and ice plunges.
