STORYLINE:
US President Donald Trump visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Monday as part of his Middle East tour.
He donned a black skullcap, listened to a rabbi read a prayer, and inserted the folded white piece of paper between the stones.
The Western Wall is revered by Jews as a remnant of their biblical Temple, and many people of all faiths come to the wall to pray and slip notes with requests between the ancient stones.
