Almost 40% of Americans Say Their Mood Declines in the Winter

Seasonal Affective Disorder is more than the winter blues. Treatment for seasonal affective disorder can include therapy, medication, or light therapy. The American Psychiatric Association says a recent poll showed almost 40% of Americans say their mood declines in the winter, and nearly 25% say they feel depressed. Anyone with a persistent sad, anxious, or empty mood most of the day, nearly every day should reach out for help.
