STORYLINE:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met his Sierra Leonean counterpart Timothy Kabba in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations.
Kabba congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his election victory and the inauguration that took place earlier today.
Lavrov called Sierra Leone Russia’s “traditional reliable partner in Africa” and said that it’s planned to open a diplomatic mission in Freetown this year.
