2. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Ranim Hossam Joudi, deputy principal of a school in Cairo:
"When they announced that they overthrew the regime and liberated the capital Damascus, it was the best news I have heard in my life because we’ve experienced a lot of injustice and lived under oppression. We have been displaced. Yes, we are comfortable and living in our country (referring to Egypt) but we are away from home. We lost property and family members. There were a lot of martyrs. And that was the hardest part."
