STORYLINE:
Strikes hit the east of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza Strip on Saturday as Israel continued to battle Hamas in the territory.
More than 44,300 people have been killed in Gaza according to its Health Ministry that does not differentiate between militants and civilians but that said more than half of them are women and children.
The war erupted following the deadly attack by Hamas against Southern Israel on Oct 7 2023, where about 1200 were killed and 250 taken hostages.
About 100 still remain in captivity in Gaza.
