Georgia’s prime minister has rejected calls for new elections after the opposition boycotted the new parliament.
Thousands of people have gathered in Tbilisi for a fourth night of protests against the election result and the government’s decision to suspend its bid to join the European Union. Demonstrators fear the governing Georgia Dream Party could abandon the process completely and move toward closer ties with Moscow.
