"So to build a lot of our models in the park, and particularly this tree behind me here, it’s not always the same way that you would build a LEGO set at home. We do it from our imaginations, and we generally think up ideas and structure it that way. However, for something as big as this, we do need to put a lot of planning in place. We do need to do a lot of design work, and we really need to think about how it’s all going to fit together over a longer period of time."

"So as a child I was actually really into LEGO, and I used that to build the things that I wanted for Christmas, generally. So I would actually spend a lot of time with LEGO. And as I got older, I guess it just transformed into a job here. So really, really cool."

A towering tree made of LEGO bricks has been constructed for Christmas at LEGOLAND.

A team of expert builders used over 364,000 bricks and spent nearly 3,000 hours creating the giant plastic festive fir.

STORYLINE:

Lots of children will be hoping for LEGO under the tree this Christmas – but what about a tree made out of LEGO?

For visitors to the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort this brick tree, topped by a giant LEGO star, is the first sight they will see.
