Israel is potentially days away from a cease-fire deal with Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the Israeli ambassador to the US said. There have been similar predictions by other officials in recent weeks and it remains unclear if the Iran-backed group will accept a deal. Meanwhile Secretary of State Antony Blinken is meeting foreign ministers from the other Group of Seven nations in Italy with the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine entering decisive phases.
