STORYLINE:
Cher released “The Memoir, Part One” on Tuesday, with her trademark honesty and humor.
The 78-year-old icon reveals her true story in intimate detail in the two-part memoir.
"Part One" follows her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono—and reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world-famous, but eventually drove them apart.
Cher is the only woman to top the Billboard charts in seven consecutive decades. She is an Academy Award, Emmy, Grammy, and Cannes Film Festival winner. In addition, she’s a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and a Kennedy Center honoree.
