On Tuesday, Ukraine fired US-made ATACMS rockets into Russia. The strikes came after Washington authorized their use on Russian territory. The aim is to limit Moscow’s ability to launch attacks and supply the front. Russia has described the attack as an escalation marking a new phase in the war while Putin has amended Russia’s nuclear doctrine.
