STORYLINE:
Peruvians protested on the streets of Lima on Thursday against the country’s government as world leaders arrived in the Andean country for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum.
At one point, a group of protesters hurled plastic bottles and water at police bus.
Police dispersed the protesters.
Later on Thursday, U.S. President Joe Biden was expected to arrive in Lima for the APEC forum.
