1. Various of pro-Palestinian protest taking place in Saint-Denis
STORYLINE:
Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered in Paris on Thursday ahead of a soccer match between France and Israel.
There are few visiting fans expected at the game, which takes place at the Stade de France.
There is a heavy police presence expected with 4,000 police officers and security staff to be deployed around the Stade de France and another 1,500 police on public transport.
The protest took place in Saint-Denis, the suburb north of Paris where the stadium is located.
Paris authorities were on high alert following violence in Amsterdam before and after a Europa League match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Dutch authorities said fans from both sides were involved in the unrest.
The assaults on Maccabi fans were widely condemned as antisemitic.
