It gave us, you know, heart defibrillators, MRI’s, CAT scan. The Astrodome gave the world a new way to make indoor sports arenas with retractable roofs and ways for visitors to have a comfortable, comfortable experience."

“There is a need for a new arena. The new arena is going to have to be built at some point. And we feel that this this option is the most cost-effective way to get a new arena. It would provide an iconic building for a new arena that would also be a wonderful entertainment district. It would be open to the public to have public access and would be very viable all year long.”

“There was so many proposals that the Conservancy had collected over the years, and they were listening for all these years and they were finding aspects that were possible that were would be advantageous, be nice to have. I think the trick here is that we’ve we listened. We put all those things together. Working with the Conservancy, we found this idea of this adding these new buildings within the dome itself, not relying on those concourses. So building this new program, but then it really freed us up to make something wonderful that no one else had really found.”

“This is a big, big, bold vision. And those previous plans, even admitted by Harris County officials, were a first step towards a future Astrodome. And this is the full swing of the bat. And this gives something people something to be excited about. To be for a vision to get behind. And bonus, we can offer $750 million in private capital to help Harris County get there.”
