“We are shifting to solar energy because K-Electric and the government have made electricity unaffordable for consumers. There are so many taxes. That’s why we are going to get solar panels installed. It is a one-time investment. If we are getting monthly bills amounting to Rs20,000 (72 dollars), we can save that money.”

From arid farmlands in Sindh to water-deprived neighbourhoods in Karachi, access to this essential resource remains a relentless struggle driven by climate change.
STORYLINE:
In Pakistan’s Sindh province, farmers face a grim reality. Water, the lifeblood of their fields, is scarce.
For Mir Hasan, a farmer in the Sujawal district, water shortages are a constant struggle.
Being a farmer, Hasan depends on water for his livelihood.
Water is available not through pipelines, but through arduous journeys and filled water cans.
