German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says he is open to talks on early elections, following the collapse of his three-party coalition government. Speaking in the Hungarian capital Budapest, Scholz said he would consider moving the timetable forward if the opposition first helps him to pass key legislation. He initially promised to hold a confidence vote next January, opening the way for an election in March. But opposition parties want to speed up the process.
