STORYLINE:
Ana Estrada, who lived with an incurable disease, has died.
She was authorized in 2022 by Peru’s Supreme Court to receive euthanasia.
Estrada fought for years in Peruvian courts for the right to die with dignity.
She had polymyositis, a disease that wastes away muscles and has no cure.
She is the first in Peru to obtain the right to die with medical assistance. She was 47.
