STORYLINE:
Los visitantes del Zoológico de Berlín pudieron ver nadar a Toni, un pequeño hipopótamo pigmeo.
La cría tiene casi cinco meses de edad, y los cuidadores del zoo dicen que se encuentra muy bien de salud y que ya hasta le empezaron a salir sus primeros dientes.
El zoológico cría esta especie desde 1921, y Debbie, la madre de Toni, tuvo crías en 2004, 2007 y 2008.
Los hipopótamos pigmeos son una especie en peligro de extinción. El zoológico informó que quedan menos de 2.500 ejemplares adultos en Costa de Marfil, Guinea, Liberia y Sierra Leona.
