Spain floods: At least 95 dead as rescuers continue searching | BBC News

At least 95 have been confirmed dead and dozens are missing after huge rains swept the eastern province of Valencia in Spain and beyond.

Rescue efforts are continuing as the country endures its worst flooding disaster in decades, with the Spanish government saying the death toll is feared to climb.

Torrential rain on Tuesday triggered flash floods which swept away bridges and buildings.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has declared three days of national mourning as the extreme conditions continue, restricting some rescue efforts.
