"These casualties, which we are transporting to the Baptist Hospital, are from Jabaliya Al-Balad and the Al-Jarn area. The Israeli army has moved them out of Al-Foqa and Abu Rashid schools towards the Jabalia Services Club to head south. A large number of injured people remain, and up to this moment, there are still wounded and martyrs there. Citizens have been instructed to evacuate towards the club area, and some of the wounded have been taken to Kamal Adwan Hospital. This is the third time we’ve transported injured people, approximately 25 of them, with injuries ranging from serious to moderate. Most of the wounded are women and children, and there are still (bodies of) martyrs lying in the streets."

7. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Mahmoud Basal, spokesman for the civil defense, a first responders body operating under the Hamas-run government:
"There is a clear focus on the northern Gaza Strip, specifically the areas of Jabalia, Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun. These areas are now subject to widespread military operations. The occupation has not stopped targeting homes, striking citizens where they live. From dawn until now, this afternoon, there have been 33 martyrs in Gaza City and the northern area: 27 martyrs in the northern area, and several more in Gaza City, most of whom were killed as a result of homes being targeted without warning."

STORYLINE:
Palestinian medical officials said they have collected over a dozen bodies of people killed in Israel’s ongoing air and ground operation in northern Gaza.
The Gaza Health Ministry’s emergency service said the dead include six men killed early Monday when they were trying to get drinking water in the urban Jabaliya refugee camp, the main focus of the operation.
Four other people, including two women, were killed in a strike on an area sheltering displaced people in Jabaliya, it said.
Another three people were killed in a strike on a school-turned-shelter in the border town of Beit Hanoun.
Dr. Hossam Abu Safiyya, the director of the nearby Kamal Adwan hospital, said it was overwhelmed with wounded people and patients.
Many wounded have been taken to the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City.
Ahmed Abu Foul, a medic with the Palestinian Red Crescent, said they have transported at least 25 wounded people, who the Israeli military forcefully evacuated from their shelters in Jabaliya.
"Most of the wounded are women and children, and there are still (bodies of) martyrs lying in the streets," he said.
