STORYLINE:
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier welcomed Denmark’s King Frederik X and Queen Mary with full military honours on their inaugural visits to Germany.
The royal houses of Denmark, Sweden and Norway, along with the presidents of Finland and Iceland, visited Berlin on Monday to mark the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassy complex in the German capital.
In October 1999, the five countries opened a combined embassy complex in the Tiergarten district in central Berlin, close to the parliamentary and government buildings.
