New York City celebrates the WNBA championship-winning New York Liberty with a ticker-tape parade along the "Canyon of Heroes" on Broadway in Lower Manhattan.
The parade is set to start at Battery Park and proceed to City Hall, where a post-parade ceremony will be held. The Liberty secured the team’s first championship — and the Big Apple’s first basketball title since 1973 — by winning a five-game series over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.
