Ukraine’s strongest allies meet in Berlin, bid Biden farewell | DW News

Joe Biden has made his likely last visit to Berlin as US president, meeting the leaders of Germany, Britain and France. He urged Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and President Emmanuel Macron to keep up support for Ukraine’s defense, but he said there was no consensus for giving Kyiv permission to use long-range western missiles to attack Russia. For the most part, the visit was about giving Biden a European send-off, before his departure from the White House in January.
