Man Dragged Off Tracks Seconds Before Train

The Seattle Police Department says officers were dispatched after reports of a man experiencing a mental health crisis. A 57-year-old man was sitting on a ledge above the train tracks, as officers offered their assistance. The man slipped and fell about 25 feet down onto the tracks. Though police requested all train traffic to stop, it was too late to halt the closest locomotive heading their way. Police on the lower platform "ran across the tracks to rescue the man," according to Seattle PD.
