Lebanon’s Health Ministry says at least 22 people have been killed, and more than 100 wounded in Israeli attacks on Beirut late on Thursday. The airstrikes hit two districts in the center of the capital. It is the deadliest bombardment in the area since Israel escalated its campaign against Hezbollah last month. Meanwhile in the south of the country, the UN says its peacekeepers have been deliberately targeted by Israeli tanks.
