He (the Israeli) thinks that in this way (strikes) he can dismantle the resistance’s environment. We will remain committed to the promise and oath we made with His Eminence, the martyr leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, that our lives, our children, and all our possessions are sacrificed for him."

STORYLINE:
Israeli airstrikes Tuesday night in Beirut’s southern suburb destroyed several buildings.
On Wednesday morning, smoke was still rising from the smoldering wreckage.
Residents rushed to their destroyed houses after the strikes to retrieve their belongings.
Among them was renowned Lebanese singer Moein Sharif, who said he had to flee the house with his children at 3 in the morning, after Israeli warnings.
"I put the kids in the car. I didn’t even have time to dress properly, as you can see. I didn’t take anything out of the house," he told The Associated Press.
Over the last two weeks, Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburb known as Dahiyeh killed at least 18 people, including the leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah group Hassan Nasrallah and several other senior officials.
Israeli strikes in recent weeks have hit what the military says are thousands of militant targets across large parts of Lebanon.
The attacks have killed over 1,000 people in Lebanon over the past two weeks, nearly a quarter of them women and children, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. More than 5,000 others were injured.
The airstrikes have forced more than 118,000 people to flee their homes in Lebanon since Sept. 23, mostly in the south, according to the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
