15. SOUNDBITE (English) Ben Wood, chief analyst, CCS Insight:
"These new devices reflect the fact that AI is becoming a benchmark feature in all new connected products, and Samsung is really betting big on it with its Galaxy AI suite of capabilities. What’s interesting about the FE variant of the smartphone is they’re taking it to an even more affordable price point, and one could argue that Samsung are trying to develop a beachhead on AI, primarily to get ahead of Apple, who’ve now recently announced Apple Intelligence."

18. SOUNDBITE (English) Ben Wood, chief analyst, CCS Insight:
"On paper Samsung are certainly ahead of Apple right now, by the end of this year they’ll have 200 million Galaxy devices that are AI enabled. At the moment, the new iPhone has only got the AI capabilities in beta in a subset of those. But make no mistake, Apple is in the race now and they’ll catch them up very quickly."
19. Close tilt up of triple camera set up of S24 FE
20. SOUNDBITE (English) Lee Dinham, product specialist, Samsung:
"So what we have in the S24 FE is something called the Pro Visual Engine. So that is a kind of combination of loads of different AI features which enhance things such as the photography taking process, the processing of the photo after it’s been taken, and then being able to actually go into the image and enhance that even further. So things such as photo remaster, let’s say you have a photo from several years ago, maybe you’ve taken on a smartphone that didn’t have the best camera. If you send it to a Galaxy S24 FE, the actual device can enhance that photo. It can restore the colours, it can restore the detail using the power of AI."
