“Over 70 percent of our water in the western U.S. comes from our forested ecosystems and our mountains. For that water to come the way we want it – clean, at the right time throughout the year, we need to have forests, not just grasslands. And after these large fires, there are certainly some places that are regenerating just fine, and there’s other places where we really don’t see regeneration happening.”
