"It’s all about Greece. It’s a trip to Greece, to the sun. I called the collection Helios, like the god of the sun in Greek mythology. And it’s all about jet set icons. Maria Callas, Jackie O. And Elizabeth Taylor in a movie called ‘Boom,’ which is really crazy. And yes, all they come together to the big party."

"My favorite outfit is the first one, of course. The first look is sequins, tailored with the mini skirt and the mini jacket, all hand-embroidered like mosaics in very Mediterranean colors, like brown, terracotta, black, orange. So it’s a bit ’70, ’60 vibes, but in a new shape."

STORYLINE:
Leonard Paris left behind the fall gloom and transported his audience to the warm Mediterranean for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Paris Fashion Week, Friday.
The location envisaged by the house was Greece, and the collection – named Helios, after the Greek god of the sun – looked back to the golden age of the ’60s and ’70s.
Creative director Georg Lux said his inspiration came from Elizabeth Taylor and other icons of the era.
"It’s all about jet set icons. Maria Callas, Jackie O. And Elizabeth Taylor in a movie called ‘Boom,’ which is really crazy. And yes, all they come together to the big party," he explained.
The clothes had a retro feel, from flowing kaftans and bold prints in a variety of different materials.
"My favorite outfit is the first one… The first look is sequins, tailored with the mini skirt and the mini jacket, all hand-embroidered like mosaics in very Mediterranean colors, like brown, terracotta, black, orange. So it’s a bit ’70, ’60 vibes, but in a new shape," said Lux.
Paris Fashion Week runs until Tuesday, 1 October.
