STORYLINE:
The second day of UN General Assembly has had some of the world’s top leaders speaking on Wednesday.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, from Ukraine, was among them. He asked for peace and unity at the UN.
Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, made an appearance at UN headquarters. Abbas is scheduled to make his address to the assembly on Thursday.
In his address, French President Emmanuel Macron warned that Israel cannot, without consequence, just expand its military operations to Lebanon. He urged Israel to cease the escalation, and Hezbollah to cease missile launches to Israel.
