STORYLINE:
A Hezbollah lawmaker in Lebanon on Wednesday called the targeted attack on the family home of a deceased fighter from the militant group a "blatant aggression."

Six family members of Ali Amr, including his two young children, and four women have been killed after an Israeli air strike on his home in a Lebanese village near the coastal town of Byblos, local officials said.

The strike on Wednesday morning levelled the two-storey building in Maisara, where people displaced from the south have travelled to seek shelter.

Local official Zuheir Amro said Amr was killed on the frontline in south Lebanon, 50 days earlier.

Ten victims were pulled out alive while another 10 remain missing under the rubble, according to Amro.

He added there were no military targets or commanders in the house.

Two AP journalists on the scene described severe damage to the adjacent buildings.

One young girl, the Hezbollah member’s niece, was pulled out of the rubble alive, with broken bones.

Israel and Hezbollah have been trading fire since the Israel-Hamas war began. Israel’s military says it will do “whatever is necessary” to push Hezbollah away from Lebanon’s border with Israel.
