Last night, he also called and said ‘are you coming?’ Like that, we are always (in this) back and forth."

"The only routine that changed was – the kids couldn’t go to kindergarten, so they stay with us. But it’s not something that is out of the ordinary. We’ve been through this in (the) beginning of the war. We’ve also been through this in other military operations and stressful times in Israel. But, but as I said, we are moving on. We are treading water. We are steadfast and we hope everybody will get to live in peace, and we’ll get rid of the extremist powers that control the civilians’ life."

STORYLINE:
Schools remained closed and public shelters were open on Monday in northern Israel as the military said it is carrying out "extensive strikes" against the Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon.
In the city of Haifa in Israel, there is a strong sense of anticipation, said resident Lir Stern.
"The feeling is that we are waiting for something that we don’t want to wait for, but it will likely come at some point," Stern said on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, the Israeli military called on residents of southern Lebanon to immediately evacuate homes and other buildings where it claimed Hezbollah stores weapons.
It was the first warning of its kind in nearly a year of steadily escalating conflict and came after a particularly heavy exchange of fire on Sunday.
Hezbollah launched around 150 rockets, missiles and drones into northern Israel in retaliation for strikes that killed a top commander and dozens of fighters.
Last week, thousands of communications devices, used mainly by Hezbollah members, exploded in different parts of Lebanon, killing 39 people and wounding nearly 3,000. Lebanon blamed Israel for the attacks, but Israel did not confirm or deny its responsibility.
The increasing strikes and counterstrikes have raised fears of an all-out war.
"We’ve been through this in (the) beginning of the war. We’ve also been through this in other military operations and stressful times in Israel," said Oron Ohayon, another Haifa resident.
"We are moving on. We are treading water. We are steadfast and we hope everybody will get to live in peace," he added.
