"We started with a few basic concepts, which are in my work, I am thinking about how humans are shaped by the environment around us but also our internal emotions and how those are also shaped by things around us, so I was thinking a lot about color and also nuances, which relate to this idea of the gradient. All these different layers of color that may show both the inside and the surface of the outside. You notice that in the collection we have all sorts of different layers, and the shape of the body is still something quite there and visible at some point but we also use the word ‘anima’, which is the title of the show. Which also relates to this art work on my year, but ‘anima’ in latin means spirit or life. And also relates to this idea of breathing or the breath so we are thinking of air and lightness as well as the transparency of all these textiles and forms."

STORYLINE:
Izumi Ogino collaborated with Japanese artist Mika Tajima for the Anteprima Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Their work is an exploration of nature’s coexistence between humanity and technology.
The looks play with transparency and color gradients, featuring lightweight, layered materials that delicately veil and reveal the body. Transparent chiffon, silk gauze, and nylon blends appear with barely perceptible all-over patterns.
